Happy Spring!
BG City Council held a regular meeting Monday, March 16th at 7 pm. Three items were introduced as new legislation, two resolutions and one ordinance were adopted, and one ordinance was tabled until its required public hearing.
Resolution 3904 authorizing the City Attorney to petition the Board of County Commissioners of Wood County, Ohio to change township lines was introduced. This makes sure township and municipal corporation boundaries are updated to reflect previous annexations.
Ordinance 9345 providing supplemental and/or amending appropriations for the current expenses and other expenditures was introduced, given three readings after the rules were suspended, and adopted.
Ordinance 9346 amending and adopting Chapter 155 of the Codified Ordinances of BG, regarding Community Reinvestment Areas was introduced. This makes changes to an existing economic development tool by clarifying language and meeting requirements in the Ohio Revised Code as well as increasing the qualifying remodeling amount to $50,000 from $25,000.
Resolution 3900 honoring Rachel Phipps, Member of the Council of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio and Resolution 3901 honoring Greg Robinette, Member of the Council of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio were adopted.
Ordinance 9344 vacating a portion of Coleman Avenue and reserving a utility easement was tabled until April 6th when the required public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm in Council Chambers.
Tonight’s regular City Council meeting will be held at 7 pm in Council Chambers. Following the public hearing at 5:45 pm, the Transportation and Safety Committee of City Council will meet at 6:15 pm in Council Chambers to select a Sidewalk Commission representative and review Council’s 2026 goals relating to Transportation and Safety.
